Essential Aid Reaches Upland Indigenous Communities

In a significant relief operation, approximately 6,000 Aeta families residing in upland villages across Pampanga have received crucial food assistance. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in collaboration with the Pampanga provincial government, spearheaded the distribution to support these indigenous communities.

Reaching Remote Beneficiaries

The aid successfully reached beneficiaries from the municipalities of Porac, Floridablanca, and Mabalacat City. Demonstrating a commitment to leave no one behind, distribution teams ventured into remote and hard-to-reach sitios, including Bilad, Camachile, Calumpang, and Sapang Uwak.

Composition of the Relief Goods

Each family was provided with a dedicated DSWD food pack containing essential commodities to sustain them. The packs included staples such as rice, canned goods, coffee, and cereal milk, ensuring immediate food security for the recipient families.

The distribution effort was bolstered by the active participation of Board Members Cherry Manalo and Christian Halili. Personnel from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and the General Services Office (GSO) were also on the ground, facilitating the smooth and organized delivery of the relief goods to the indigenous families.
