The Provincial Government of Pampanga has launched a groundbreaking healthcare initiative with its newly-constructed 112-square-meter floating clinic, which recently completed its maiden voyage to serve coastal towns across the province. First Stop: Barangay Malusac in Sasmuan Town
On Wednesday, the floating clinic made its inaugural visit to Barangay Malusac in Sasmuan town, where it provided a comprehensive range of medical services to numerous residents. The facility offered primary laboratory procedures such as blood extraction, ECG, X-ray, and ultrasound, alongside OB-Gyne consultations, minor medical procedures, dental services, and free medicines. This visit marks the beginning of a sustained effort to address healthcare gaps in hard-to-reach areas.
Capacity and Operational Features
According to the Provincial Health Office (PHO), the floating clinic is designed to accommodate between 50 and 100 patients at full capacity. It is staffed by dedicated personnel and medical professionals from the PHO, ensuring high-quality care.
