PSA Davao de Oro Reaches 37 Caravans, Boosting National ID Access in 2025
PSA Davao de Oro Hits 37 National ID Caravans in 2025

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in Davao de Oro is intensifying its efforts to ensure no resident is left behind in the national identification system. As of October 2025, the agency's National Identification (NID) Team has successfully taken part in 37 government service caravans across the province this year alone. This initiative is a core part of the government's mission to deliver essential services directly to the people, particularly in hard-to-reach areas.

Bringing the PhilSys to the People

The NID Team's primary goal is to make the national ID, or PhilID, accessible to every Dabawenyo. The team has shown unwavering commitment by actively joining events organized by any national government agency or Local Government Unit (LGU). Whether it's a large multi-agency caravan or a community outreach, their presence ensures the public can conveniently register, update their information, or inquire about their national ID without traveling long distances.

Beyond mere registration, the team conducts crucial Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) sessions during these events. These sessions explain the benefits of the national ID, the registration and updating process, and how the PhilID can streamline daily life. The PSA emphasizes that the card simplifies public and private transactions, improves access to social services and government programs, and provides a reliable form of identity verification.

Major Partnerships and Outreach Programs

The PSA Davao de Oro team has collaborated on a wide array of programs, demonstrating strong partnerships with local and national bodies. Some of the notable caravans and outreach programs they joined include:

  • The Legal, dental, and medical outreach program led by LGU-Mabini.
  • LGU-Maragusan's "Atsup Serbisyo Caravan."
  • The "Gwapong Serbisyo ni Mayor Anthony Libuangan Caravan" in Laak.
  • Tesda's Annual World Café of Opportunities.
  • The PNP Revitalized-Pulis sa Barangay (R-PSB) Outreach Program.
  • An NCIP Outreach Program by the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples.
  • The 49th Founding Anniversary Celebration of the Parole and Probation Administration.
  • Provincial Government initiatives like "Tunol Serbisyo Para sa Katawhan" and "Bulawanong Hatud Serbisyo para sa Katawhan."
  • LGU-Nabunturan's "Serbisyo Uban sa Gugma Caravan."

Sustained Efforts Through Year-End

The work is far from over. For the remaining months of November and December 2025, the PSA Davao de Oro NID Team is actively engaged in several ongoing service caravans. This continuous effort underscores their dedication to expanding the reach of the national ID system and fortifying collaborations with partner agencies. By bringing the service directly to communities, the PSA is effectively breaking down barriers and ensuring more Filipinos can enjoy the advantages of having a secure and recognized national identity.
