Pinay tennis star Alex Eala is set to face world number 8 Elina Svitolina in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Berlin Tennis Open.
The world number 35 Eala first defeated Queens champion Donna Vekic in the opening round and then overcame world number 2 Elena Rybakina. Eala and Rybakina now have a head-to-head record of one win and one loss, after the Ukrainian defeated the Pinay tennis star in the Italian Open.
This will be the first meeting between Eala and Svitolina. The 31-year-old Ukrainian tennis player is making her debut in the grass-court tournament after reaching the quarterfinals of the French Open.
