DOJ Issues Immigration Lookout Order vs Tab Baldwin, 4 Others

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has issued an Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO) against former Ateneo de Manila University head coach Tab Baldwin and four other individuals in connection with the investigation into the deaths of student-athletes Rene Clert Baterbonia and Divine Adili.

Details of the ILBO

According to DOJ Acting Secretary Fredderick Vida, the ILBO was issued on June 17, 2026, against Baldwin, former team manager Christopher Quimpo, assistant coach Reynaldo Jacinto Jr., assistant coach Dean Castaño, and assistant coach Sandro Soriano. The order aims to monitor the travel and movements of individuals involved in a case or investigation.

However, the ILBO does not automatically prohibit them from leaving the country. The department clarified that an individual can only be prevented from traveling abroad if a Precautionary Hold Departure Order (PHDO) is issued during the preliminary investigation stage, or a Hold Departure Order (HDO) after the case is filed in court.
