Roy Jones Jr Predicts Hungry Canelo Alvarez Will Beat Christian Mbilli
Roy Jones Jr: Hungry Canelo Will Beat Mbilli

Boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. believes a more aggressive, determined, and hungry Canelo Alvarez will return to the ring against Christian Mbilli this September.

According to Jones, Alvarez is coming off a long layoff due to an injury last year. After being injured and losing his belt to Terence Crawford, Alvarez is eager to reclaim his titles. This time, he faces Mbilli for the World Boxing Council (WBC) super-middleweight world title.

Jones expects Alvarez to dominate in his upcoming fight.

“That is a good fight to look at. I like Mbilli, but Canelo is still better than what people give him credit for, so I ain’t going to say that Mbilli is going to beat him,” Jones said.

“I know that Mbilli is a good fighter, but I haven’t seen Mbilli really prove himself [at the elite level] yet. I have seen what Canelo can do, so a hungry Canelo will beat Mbilli, but if he ain’t hungry, then Mbilli is gonna beat him,” he added.
