Mayor Inspects Poultry Over Fly Complaints in Floridablanca

In response to complaints about a growing fly problem in the resettlement area of Floridablanca, Mayor Michael L. Galang personally led an inspection of a poultry facility in Barangay Pabanlag on June 16, 2026.

Joint Inspection Team

The mayor was accompanied by personnel from the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), the Sanitary Team, and the Philippine National Police. The inspection aimed to determine whether the poultry farm was the source of the fly infestation affecting local residents.

Assessment of the Facility

During the visit, officials examined the facility's current condition, including its waste management system, sanitation practices, and environmental compliance measures. The goal was to establish a direct link between the poultry operations and the complaints raised by the community.

Prior Actions

Before the mayor's inspection, the MENRO had already conducted an initial assessment on June 12, 2026, as part of the municipal government's immediate response to the complaints.

The local government emphasized its commitment to listening to constituent concerns and taking swift action to identify root causes and implement appropriate measures for the benefit of the community.

"In Floridablanca, every legitimate complaint is given due attention and addressed through proactive and responsible action," the municipal government stated.
