Two Suspected Gang Members Arrested in Cebu Drug Bust

Two suspected gang members were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) 7 at around 5:10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, along G. Gaisano Street in Barangay Carreta, Cebu City.

Suspects Identified

The suspects were identified as Peter Paul Casas, 28, a resident of Gorordo Avenue, Barangay Kamputhaw, and Francis Paul Agunod, 28, from Sitio Kaduloy, Barangay Tisa, Cebu City. According to police reports, both individuals are alleged members of a local gang.

Seized Items

Authorities confiscated from the suspects several packets of dried marijuana leaves weighing a total of 20 grams, with a standard drug price of P20,000. Additionally, a .38 caliber pistol loaded with two bullets was recovered.

Legal Charges

The two detainees are currently held at the Mabolo Police Station. They will face charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act 10591, which penalizes illegal possession of firearms.
